Job Overview

As a General Practice Nurse you will provide high-quality patient care in a welcoming professional environment. You will report to the Practice Manager and work with a team of doctors nurses and other staff. You will work independently while supporting patients with chronic illness management immunizations and health checks

Main Duties of the Job

• Provide safe effective and patient-centered care
  
  

• Advise patients on health matters and refer to other staff as needed
  
  

• Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes and respiratory illness
  
  

• Conduct children immunizations cervical screenings travel health consultations and wound care
  
  

• Maintain accurate clinical records and follow QOF standards
  
  

• Work independently and in a team under pressure
  
  

• Use EMIS Web system
  
  

Qualifications Experience and Skills

1 Qualifications and Experience

• RGN Qualified General Practice Nurse
  
  

• Completed Fundamentals in General Practice Nursing Course
  
  

• Experience in primary care and chronic illness management
  
  

• Specialist diabetes qualification is a plus
  
  

2 Knowledge and Skills

• Knowledge of chronic illness management and QOF standards
  
  

• Ability to provide safe and effective care
  
  

• Skilled in immunizations screenings travel health and wound care
