Job Overview

As a Band 5 Registered Nurse you will work under the guidance of a senior nurse or ward manager. You will give compassionate and evidence based care to patients. You will help patients recover and support their families with understanding and respect. The role involves close teamwork with doctors and other healthcare staff to make sure every patient receives the best care possible. The work setting is caring and active where every day brings new learning and challenges.

 

Main Duties of the Job

  • Assess and plan nursing care for each patient

  • Give treatment and medicines safely and correctly

  • Watch patient progress and record all care provided

  • Maintain patient comfort dignity and safety at all times

  • Work with other staff to plan and deliver care as a team
