Job Overview

The role is based at Doncaster Royal Infirmary working within a supportive neonatal team The nurse will report to the Neonatal Unit Manager and collaborate closely with doctors senior nurses and allied health professionals The work environment is dynamic caring and family focused offering professional growth and ongoing training opportunities

Main Duties of the Job

• Care for infants admitted to the neonatal unit
  
  

• Undertake training to enhance knowledge and clinical skills
  
  

• Provide and support family integrated care
  
  

• Work with the multi disciplinary team to deliver evidence based care
  
  

• Complete Qualified in Specialty and Competence Assessment Package requirements for professional development
  
  

Qualifications Experience and Skills

1 Qualifications and Experience

• RN Adult or RN Child with NMC registration
  
  

• Completion of ODN Foundation Programme or equivalent
  
  

• Neonatal Intensive Care Course or willingness to complete
  
  

• Experience in post registration neonatal care
  
  

2 Knowledge and Skills

• Ability to work effectively in a multi disciplinary team
  
  

• Strong communication skills with families and colleagues
  
  

• Experience supporting students or junior staff desirable
  
  

• Leadership skills for small teams desirable
