Job Overview

As a Registered Nurse in the Intermediate Care Unit in Crawley you will provide safe and compassionate care to patients recovering from illness or injury. You will work within a friendly and professional team to help patients regain independence and prepare for discharge.
You will assess patient needs create care plans and deliver effective nursing support. This role offers learning opportunities and ongoing professional development within a supportive environment.

 

Main Duties of the Job

  • Provide safe and high quality nursing care to all patients

  • Assess plan deliver and review individual care plans

  • Monitor patient progress and record observations accurately

  • Give medicines and treatments safely in line with nursing standards

  • Work with doctors therapists and healthcare staff to support recovery

  • Communicate clearly with patients and families offering emotional support

  • Encourage independence and focus on rehabilitation goals

  • Keep detailed and accurate patient records

  • Support and guide junior staff and healthcare assistants

  • Take part in training audits and quality improvement projects

 

Qualifications Experience and Skills

1. Qualifications and Experience

  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration

  • Experience in acute community or rehabilitation settings is preferred

  • Understanding of clinical standards and evidence based care

  • Skilled in care planning medication and patient assessment

  • Knowledge of rehabilitation and person centred care

  • Ability to manage time well and handle multiple priorities
